Northleaf appoints Leigh Brown as Chief Human Resources Officer

TORONTO, CANADA (March 21, 2022) Northleaf Capital Partners (Northleaf) is pleased to announce that Leigh Brown has joined our firm as Chief Human Resources Officer, based in our Toronto office. Leigh will lead the firm’s human resources activities globally, including the development and execution of the firm’s human resources strategy to support Northleaf’s global private markets investment platform and business plan. She will be a member of the firm’s Management Committee and will be responsible for the implementation of organizational best practices across the firm, specifically in the areas of talent management, recruitment, performance management, training and development, succession planning and total rewards.  

Prior to joining Northleaf, Leigh spent more than a decade in progressively senior roles in human resources at Royal Bank of Canada, most recently as Vice President, Human Resources for the Personal & Commercial Banking division. Previously, she held human resources roles at Whirlpool Canada and began her career at MDS Inc. and the Toronto Stock Exchange. Leigh received a Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership from the University of Guelph and a Bachelor of Arts from McMaster University.
