Northleaf Capital Partners expands Menlo Park office with addition of Vishal Shah

Northleaf Capital Partners, Canada’s largest independent global private markets fund manager and advisor, is pleased to announce that Vishal Shah has joined its Menlo Park, USA office as a Senior Associate. Vishal will be involved in all of Northleaf’s private equity investment activities, with a particular focus on the origination and evaluation of primary fund investments and co-investments.

Vishal has five years of experience in private equity, including significant experience with US small and mid-market buyout fund investments and co-investments. North American small and mid-market buyouts continue to be a key and very successful component of Northleaf’s global private equity strategy, and Vishal’s addition will further strengthen Northleaf’s capabilities in this important sub-segment of the asset class. Prior to joining Northleaf, Vishal was a Senior Associate with Bay Hills Capital, a private equity fund of funds in San Francisco focused on North American small-market buyouts. Previously, Vishal worked at Fort Washington Capital Partners, a private equity fund of funds in Cincinnati, where he evaluated and conducted due diligence on a wide range of buyout, venture capital and mezzanine fund investments and co-investments. Vishal also has experience at Pelion Venture Partners, an early stage venture capital firm in Salt Lake City.  Vishal holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, an MA (Economics) from Virginia Tech and a BA (Economics) from The College of William & Mary.
