Northleaf Capital Partners further strengthens global investment capabilities with four new team members

Nadim Vasanji, Megan McLeese, Chris Rigobon and Brad Blowes join team

TORONTO (March 18, 2014) – Northleaf Capital Partners (“Northleaf”), Canada’s largest independent global private markets fund manager and advisor, is pleased to announce the addition of four new members to its investment team: Nadim Vasanji as Vice President on the global private equity team, Megan McLeese as Legal Counsel, Chris Rigobon as Associate on the infrastructure team, and Brad Blowes as Associate on the private equity secondaries team.

Nadim Vasanji joins Northleaf as Vice President on the global private equity team and will be based in Northleaf’s Menlo Park, California office.  Nadim completed a pre-MBA rotation at Northleaf from 2007-2009 and rejoins Northleaf from McKinsey & Company in Chicago where he focused on corporate finance, strategy and operations with clients across the healthcare, retail and industrial sectors.  Prior to his pre-MBA role with Northleaf, Nadim spent two years with McKinsey as a Business Analyst.  Nadim received an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a B.A. (Economics) from Harvard University.

Megan McLeese joins Northleaf as Legal Counsel in Northleaf’s Toronto office where she works closely with individual deal teams and external legal counsel on the review, structure and completion of investments.  Previously, Megan was an Associate at Davies Ward Phillips & Vineberg LLP, where she worked on a variety of transactions, including securities offerings, mergers and acquisitions, fund formations and private equity investments. Megan received a J.D. from Osgoode Hall Law School and an Honours B.A. (with Distinction) from McMaster University.

Chris Rigobon joins Northleaf as an Associate on the infrastructure team, based in Toronto.  Chris has more than three years of prior investment banking experience in leveraged finance with Macquarie Capital in Toronto, where he worked on transactions in a variety of industries, including telecommunications, resources, power & utilities, transportation and logistics. Previously, Chris was a financial analyst with the University Health Network.  Chris received a Master of Finance (with Distinction) from the Schulich School of Business, York University and a Bachelor of Commerce (with Honours) from the University of Toronto.

Brad Blowes joins Northleaf as an Associate on the private equity secondaries team and is based in Northleaf’s Toronto office.  Prior to joining Northleaf, Brad was Vice President of Strategy and Operations at CommonWealth, a growth-phase Canadian hedge fund service provider.  Previously, Brad was a Senior Associate in the M&A Transaction Advisory Services group at Deloitte & Touche LLP, where he performed quantitative and qualitative due diligence analysis on M&A deals, including for a number of private equity transactions.  Brad is a Chartered Accountant and received a Bachelor of Commerce (First Class Honours) from Queen’s University.
