James leads Northleaf's technology strategy, digital innovation, and global technology operations. He is responsible for aligning technology investments with business objectives and advancing Northleaf's data, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence capabilities to enhance investment operations, strengthen investor service, and support the firm's long-term growth.
Prior to joining Northleaf in 2017, James held senior leadership roles at Accenture and IBM, where he led large consulting practices and advised global enterprises on leveraging digital technologies to transform business operations and capabilities. Earlier in his career, he led a software product development center at IBM and delivered large-scale systems integration initiatives. James brings more than 25 years of experience helping organizations harness innovation to drive business transformation and growth.
James earned an MBA from the Ivey School of Business, University of Western Ontario, and a Bachelor of Mathematics from the University of Waterloo. He is a Certified Management Consultant (CMC) and a Fellow, Life Management Institute (FLMI).
