Katherine leads Northleaf’s legal and compliance activities globally and is a member of the Executive Committee. She oversees the review, structure, completion and management of Northleaf’s private markets investments, as well as the legal and structural elements of the firm’s investor relations, business development and fund formation activities. Katherine is also primarily responsible for managing the firm’s regulatory relationships, compliance matters, governance and corporate structure.
Prior to joining Northleaf’s predecessor, TD Capital, in 2008, Katherine was a partner with McCarthy Tétrault, specializing in the structuring and offering of investment funds (including private markets funds) and investment advisor regulation. Katherine was external counsel to TD Capital from 2004 to 2008.
Katherine received a B.A. (Honours) from the University of Western Ontario and an LL.B. from Queen’s University.
